Wimbledon 2022 tickets: How to buy them and how much do they cost

The global stars of the Tennis world return to Wimbledon as the major tournament gets underway at SW19.

Novak Djokovic will return to centre court looking to win his seventh major at the illustrious competition and in successive year's after he came from a set down to beat Italy's Matteo Berrettini, last year. Serena Williams returns after a year away from the sport as a wildcard entry.

Andy Murray has been plagued with reoccurring injury problems in recent years but will once again grace the tournament. He will be looking to make it through the First Round unscathed where he faces world number 77 James Duckworth.

British number one Emma Radacanu hit the headlines after she sensationally won her first major at the US Open, last year. She has yet to reach beyond the Second Round at both the Australian Open and the French Open but she will have the support of her home crowd and will face Alison Van Uytvanck in the First Round.

How to get Wimbledon tickets 2022

As is tradition with Wimbledon, a sea of Tennis fans will be able to queue for tickets for same day events. Last year, the queue was closed last year due to Covid restrictions as well as the ticket resale which will return for 2022.

All public tickets will be available to buy this year, and tickets are limited to one pair per household. Those who have bought tickets will be able to access them on the official Wimbledon app.

Wimbledon ticket prices

For the first time this year, Wimbledon has introduced tiered pricing on Centre Court and No.1 Court with seats at the front of the court costing more than those at the back. Hospitality packages prices start from £670.

Wimbledon ticket prices also vary based on the date and court:

  • Centre Court (Price band A): £75–£240
  • Centre Court (Price band B): £70–£230
  • No.1 Court (Price band A): £68–£160
  • No.1 Court (Price band B): £65–£155
  • No.2 Court: £43–£90
  • No.3 Court: £46-£90
  • Grounds passes: £8-£27

Wimbledon ticket ballot

Unlike recent tournaments, there was no Wimbledon ticket ballot for 2022. However, for those who were successful in the 2020 ballot and have accepted the ticket offer have been offered the same day and court for this year’s event.
